The aromatic palette

A panel of oenologists, professionals and consumers have tasted and compared an array of wine styles that have been aged in contact with PurOak wood products.

Each taster, according to their own sensitivity, habits or culture, expressed their individual descriptors. These have been assimilated into the PurOak aromatic palette ranging from light toast to strong toast.

The aromatic palette

Oak seasoning yard for 24 to 36 months

PurOak guarantees a minimum seasoning of its wood of at least 24 months and up to 36 months. Only such a long ageing period enables a slow dehydration of the oak. Therefore, the green, humus, fresh wood and bitterness flavors give way to the sweetness and complexity specific to successful aging.

Total traceability

PurOak guarantees the perfect traceability of its oak, from the forest of its birth to the final packaged product. Our products are traced throughout the transformation process: aging of oak staves in our wood yard, manufacturing, toasting and packaging. Each production lot is a blend of three different forest origins. Thanks to these processes, PurOak can gurarantee consistent quality of its oenological oak products.

The ideal geographical position of our mill gices us convenient access to all of the premium oak terroirs availale inf France.
